CAT | Blue Bloods:)
In Cyber English I currently finished reading the book Blue Bloods by Melissa De La Cruz. In this blog post I’m going to share with you what character I think changed the most and what caused them to change. I hope you enjoy.
The character I think changed most in the book would have to be the lead character named Schuyler. How she changed is in the beginning she only had a couple of friends and she didn’t seem to fit in with the rest of the people at her school. And I think that the author made her that kind of person because every high school has people like that. The way Schuyler changed is that she started talking to more people like Jack Force who was the most popular guy in her school. And she seemed to be known more by other people that never really recognized her before.
Jack is in this group called the committee and all the people in that group are vampires (also called blue bloods). Schuyler’s not the only one who is invited to the committee. Another girl named Bliss who also is a blue blood becomes friends with Schuyler even though Bliss is supposed to be friends with Mimi who is Jack Force’s popular twin sister. During the committee meetings Mrs. Dupont would tell them all they needed to know. “Mrs. Dupont explained everything, like how the marks on their arms were just their blood shining through their skin and how the canine familiars that followed us home were just part of their soul that had transferred to the physical world to protect them” (145) Since Schuyler was a young blue blood that means she was turning into a vampire. What forces caused her to change was that she found out what she really is which is not a regular person. The fellow blue bloods would let her know what was going on with her so she doesn’t get scared about it. I think that her changing kind of made her more into a confident and social person and not so shy. Now she would actually want to be around other people then instead of being with just her friends and not socializing.

Currently in Cyber English9 I am reading the book Blue Bloodsby Melissa De La Cruz. In this blog post I’m sharing with you 3 journal entries that are from the lead characters Schuyler’s point of view if she were to write in a journal.
Dear Journal,
A lot of weird things have been going on! Like: When I went to the club with Oliver I swear I saw Jack Force get hit by a car. But after the car went by he was fine! He also talked to me when I thought he was hurt. It didn’t make any sense. And I think he was totally flirting with me. Oh and how could I forget that Oliver and I almost got caught with fake ID’s! We were freaking out. And then the next thing I notice is that were inside! We just stayed cool and confident. This nightclub that we went to I wasn’t totally into. But, Oliver wanted to go and we usually don’t go out that often. The place was usually for people that are models or actors/actresses or sons and daughters of famous people. And of course Mimi Force was their. Mimi is Jack’s twin sister and is the most gorgeous girl in the history of New York City. To me she’s not the nicest person to meet.

Dear Journal,
Today is the day of Aggie Carondolet’s funeral you know that girl that’s friends with Mimi? Yeah, that same night when I thought Jack Force got hit by a car she some how died and all her blood was gone. I know that there are a lot of ways that can happen such as aneurysm, heart attack, and diabetic seizure. What kind of animal could suck out all of her blood? Most people at school said she died of an overdose but Jack told me she was murdered. I wonder what happened. Too bad she’s not here to follow around Mimi anymore. But at least we get to miss school for her funeral. Also, it was strangely odd when Dylan said he saw Aggie last Friday night when we went to the club. He said he “met somebody” and that he never saw Aggie again after midnight.

Dear Journal,
Now I know how Aggie died. And now they may come after me or other people like me. I need to stay on guard at all times. And Jack has been talking to me a lot too. I think I kind of like him. Since I was invited into the committee I will get to see him a lot more. But since I went to that first committee meeting I now know why everything has happened. Things that have happened: Aggie died, a dog followed me home, the marks on my arms, and a hunger for meat. Mrs.Dupont is the leader of the committee and she explained everything at the meeting. About how I’m a blue blood like some of the other kids. But not all so we have to keep is a secret. Blue bloods are also known as vampires. I really don’t get why I was chosen but I guess it runs in the family.
