For this assignment I worked with Kelsi G, here is what we learned about internet safety.
We learned a lot of important information about internet safety. Many sites stated that you should not give too much information about yourself on the internet. This is important because you don’t want strangers stalking you or causing any harm to you or your family. You should also change your password every couple months so you can keep it private so others can’t get into your personal settings.
A few sites also mentioned that many online predators are computer sex offenders. This means that you shouldn’t arrange to meet someone you met online because they might not be telling you the truth about who they really are. Once the sex offender has enough information about you it isn’t hard to track you down. Sometimes online predators will send gifts, packages, or mail to their victims. To keep children from harm parents should know what their kids are doing on the internet and be checking up on them from time to time. If children are being suspicious about turning the monitor off or clicking off of something when you come into the room that may be a sign that they are doing something inappropriate.
