Many times children our age have to deal with being alone in life. Maybe you parents think way too much about their work, and their children feel like they don’t have the parents they need. Or maybe they feel like no one is there to listen to them after a hard day at school. I mean parents tell us that they are here to listen; right?
The story Twisted shows problems right from the start. The main character Tyler Miller is a student with low maintenance needs, all he does is tries to get through the day without trouble but that rarely happens in this story. People look down on him just because he is different. To prove that he isn’t that much different from anyone else he spray paints the school and gets caught so now in a way he is know as a “legend”. Why do people insist on thinking that the only way to be popular is to either be strong or on a team or do something completely stupid that will get you in trouble its like “hello this isn’t going to help you ever in life.”
Tyler’s dad is so caught up in his work that he almost has no time for him. Just so that his father got noticed he and the rest of the family went to his boss’s house for a party and the only reason they went was to get noticed and Tyler and his mother and sister felt so out of place because his fathers boss is filthy rich and they well aren’t.
Life isn’t easy no one said it was but should you make your children suffer just so you get noticed?
