Report cards are a piece of paper with ink on them. Yes, they do show us our final grades and that will affect us if we decide to go on to college. However, only we as individuals know how hard we worked and how much effort we put into our school work. Sometimes a report card reflects on a student’s ability to succeed in one subject or another. But, a report card does not define who you are as an individual student. Report cards cannot show many of the little accomplishments we have made throughout the year in Cyber English. Maybe some of us learned how to utilize our resources such as the internet better; others may have conquered their fears about speaking their own individual opinions. These are two very important skills to use in school and life; however a report card does not truly reflect these great things we accomplish.
