    The Blind Side

The book I am reading is The Blind Side by Michael Lewis. It takes place in the state of Tennessee. Michael Oher went to Wingate Christian School and didn’t have any friends at first. Wingate Christian School in Tennessee relates to our world because it has a lot of things that most schools have here today. They have a football and a basketball team and there are a lot of kids that go to Wingate. Wingate Christian School is different from our world because you need a certain grade point average to get into the school and it is a big Christian school and we don’t have many big Christian schools in our world today.

Wingate Christian School and Tennessee are important to the story for many reasons. Michael Oher ends up playing football at Wingate Christian School and he became very good at playing football. Tennessee is important because Leigh Anne didn’t want Michael to go play football for the University of Tennessee and she wanted him to play for Ole Miss. Tennessee and Wingate Christian School could not become a character because Wingate is a school and Tennessee is a state so it would not be possible for them to be a character.

The book I am reading is The Blind Side by Michael Lewis. The Blind Side is a book that shows respect for the homeless and the poor and how people show a lot of respect for them. It is all about helping people in need of help just like when Michael was asked to live with the Tuohy’s. Helping people in need will help make their lives a lot easier because if they had no place to stay like Michael did, you could offer them to stay with you and that would make them a lot happier because they don’t have to sleep in the cold. It shows that just because Michael was African American he could still be welcomed in to a nice and loving family. It also shows that you should not judge a book by its cover because the person could be really nice and people should just give them a chance. Showing respect and helping people in need teaches the reader a lot about giving people a chance and how it might feel to be homeless and poor. It also teaches the reader that there are a lot of people in the world without homes and that people should really offer some of the homeless to come and stay with them for a while.

The book I am reading is “The Blind Side”and it was written by Michael Lewis. I am writing about what is happening in the book right now. Michael Oher didn’t have anywhere to stay and he didn’t have a father anymore and he has not seen his mom for a long time. Leigh Anne and Sean Tuohy had a lot of money and one day they saw Michael getting off the bus and it was snowing outside and all Michael was wearing was a T-shirt and shorts. Michael was a very good basketball player and he was wide and very tall. One day, Leigh Anne took Michael to find some new close to wear instead of the T-shirt and shorts that he usually wears. After Leigh Anne took him shopping she asked him to come live with them at their house.

I think that Michael will be a good football player with some practice because Sean and Leigh Anne got him into football and at first Michael didn’t know a lot and he struggled. Sean and Leigh Anne will probably get a lot closer to Michael because he will be staying at their house for a while and maybe even longer. I also think that Sean and Leigh Anne will adopt Michael because they have discovered how good of a kid he really is and they really like him. I think that Michael will get a lot more friends in school because he is getting better at football and he can develop into a star football player. That is what’s happening now and what I expect to happen next in “The Blind Side”.
