For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to go to Hawaii.  When I was younger, my family went on vacation; walking through the airport, I saw signs that advertised trips to Hawaii, as well as the television screens containing the flight information.  All that I knew about this state then was that it had palm trees and beaches was extremely warm, and that it was really expensive to travel to.  Now that I am older, I have learned a lot more about Hawaii.  For one thing, Hawaii is a land of natural beauty with a total of eight national parks.  These parks are said to offer unusual camping and hiking opportunities.  Another thing that I didn’t know when I  younger was that one of the things Hawaii is most famous for is it’s volcanoes.  In fact, it was volcanoes that created the Hawaiian islands.  Now, only two volcanoes are active in Hawaii.  If you went to Hawaii, you could see these volcanoes.  Also, just outside of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, you can view the area where lava from an active volcano, enters the ocean.  My family and I very much enjoy visiting national parks and Hawaii’s sound spectacular.  Hopefully, someday I will be able to travel to this destination, see the sights, and enjoy the natural beauty of Hawaii.
