Keeping the Night Watch + Bronx Masquerade
Does anything in the novel relate to your life or the world around you? How?
This novel relates to my life because I was disappointed too when a parent left my household. This doesn’t mean that we can’t live our lives and stay strong, even though it was hard. I can really connect to this novel besides the part where they work things out. The author did a great job explaining what the family was going through.
What did you learn that you didn’t know or realize before?
People can come together and solve their problems if they work hard enough. In the story they realized life is worth living and they should come together so they are more happy. I really liked the change of emotions in this section. They were upset with each other but the dancing seemed to help and they sounded like they were having a good time and were at peace with each other.
