Top Bloggers of Quarter 1

Please check out the student blogs listed below. Although many of these students create independent reading posts that are much longer than what is required, in general they do a good job of stating their opinion of the book, providing information to support their opinion, and drawing in elements of the literary devices studied in class. Please consider these examples when constructing your own posts in order to avoid merely summarizing or writing a lengthy rendition of your opinion.

It needs to be everyones’ goal to continue practicing your skills in utilizing direct and indirect evidence in your blog posts. Although Maria is one of Ms. Hogue’s students, this particular blog post is an ideal example of what independent reading is meant to be.
